Each year the Annual Catholic Appeal unites us as Catholics in the Archdiocese of St. Louis. Together we demonstrate that we are one in service to those who are suffering, in need and abandoned. This year we are experiencing an extraordinary situation of uncertainty and suffering due to the worldwide pandemic.

The Annual Catholic Appeal pledge drive, originally scheduled to take place in most parishes April 18-19, April 25-26 and May 2-3, has been delayed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The pledge drive will be held in parishes at a later date. Parishioners may still donate to the Appeal online at aca.archstl.org.

Since 1976, the Annual Catholic Appeal has been a unified effort in which all parishioners are asked to provide critical, financial support to more than thirty diocesan ministries running more effectively at the diocesan level than at the individual parishes.

Each year we come together and are given the opportunity through the Annual Catholic Appeal to support the healing, sanctifying and teaching presence of Jesus Christ in the many ministries and programs of the Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph. The Annual Catholic Appeal allows the church to fund ministries and meet the needs that can only be.

The Annual Catholic Appeal provides critical support to offset the rising cost of education for seminarians currently in formation to serve as priests in our diocese. Also funded are the programs that provide continuing education for clergy, deaconate formation and lay ministers.
